The story has it that Toni and Froni were two ski instructors from Gerlos, who ignored a ski ban on an avalanche-prone slope. As a punishment, the Snow Goddess turned them into stone. If you happen to ride the Falschbach Lift, you can still see them sitting to your left on the ridgeline of the Falschriedelkamm

And the moral of the story: don't ski away from the slopes!!!
